Cullen Communications, Ireland’s only member of the prestigious Public Relations Global Network (PRGN), has picked up an impressive two 2nds and two 3rds at the inaugural PRGN Best Practice Awards.
The PRGN awards, which were announced at the network’s bi-annual conference in Chiacago, were open to projects completed in 2010 or 2011. And despite not winning an award outright, Cullen Communications had the most ‘podium’ finishes of all participating agencies.
Cullen Communications’ two 2nd-place finishes were for the NNI Press Ad of the Month/Year awards (B2B category) and for the IBAL ‘Litter Twitter’ project (Social/CSR category).
The agency’s two 3rd-place awards, meanwhile, were for the newspaper industry’s Green Press Partnership (Green PR) and again for the IBAL Litter Twitter campaign (Social Media category).
More than 100 projects were submitted by agencies right around the world as part of the inaugural PRGN Best Practice Awards, and Cullen Communications chief, Frank Cullen, was pleased with the agency’s strong showing.
“We submitted six entries and got four top-3 finishes, which is a testament to the creativity that we try and bring to every project we work on,” Frank said. “I believe that was more ‘podium places’ than any other agency.”
"The awards are a great way to build up a body of outstanding case studies that we can all share and learn from,” he added. “That spirit of collaboration and cooperation is integral to PRGN, it’s probably the main benefit of membership and it’s something unique that we can pass on to our clients."
PRGN is among the world’s top four international PR networks, with 41 individual members agencies, 65 offices and more than 1000 clients.
